Maureen Kelley, age 67, of Newton, MA passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, after a slow decline in her health. Maureen was the devoted daughter of her loving mother, Paula (Keane) Kelley and the late John Kelley of Newton. She is also survived by her brothers John (Marjie Rochon) of Framingham, Paul of Newton and Gregory (Anne) of Walpole and her much loved nephews Daniel, Andrew and Benjamin Kelley.
Maureen was a dedicated hospice nurse who had an earlier career in retail. She was a talented crafts woman who sewed and crocheted beautiful items for family, friends and those in need. She loved to travel, was sharp at game play, was witty and enjoyed the theatre and music. Maureen had a love for cats and always found comfort with them.
She will be missed and remembered by her family and friends.
Due to Covid 19 precautions there will be no visitation hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 1317 Centre St., Newton Center, on Tuesday, April 20th at 10:30 am. All attendees must wear a mask and practice proper social distancing. Burial is private.
