Michael was born January 23, 1961 in Bridgeport, CT and raised in nearby Stratford by his parents Michael and Rita (Saksa), along with his sister Ann and brother David.  He graduated from Stratford High School in 1979 as captain of his baseball team, where he earned AllState honors. Michael and Rose have two wonderful children, Kate of Marlborough, Massachusetts and Red of Rochester, New York, with whom they shared many outdoor and food-related adventures. He worked as a retirement actuary beginning in 1984 for The Wyatt Company, which had since evolved into Willis Towers Watson. He made many friends over the years with those who shared his interest in sports, particularly golf. He was an avid biker, fan of BU hockey, and lover of travel both local and foreign. Michael always had a positive outlook on life and his experiences.
