Mildred "Millie" (O'Halloran) Cissell

Mildred (Millie) O’Halloran Cissell, age 91 passed away peacefully at Alden Court Nursing Home in Fairhaven, MA on 8/27/23. She was the daughter of Leo and Mildred O’Halloran and loving wife of the late Marion (Bud) Cissell. Born in Watertown, MA. She was a graduate of Watertown H.S. After high school, Millie attended and graduated from Flight Attendant school in Boston, MA. She Later Married Bud Cissell a career military man in the US Air Force. Millie had the opportunity to experience life in different states, including Greenville, South Carolina and Dover, New Hampshire. Millie and her family lived many happy years in New Hampshire. Following Bud’s passing, Millie moved to Newtonville, MA where she reconnected with family and friends.

 Millie was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Leo (Sonny) O’Halloran. She is survived by daughter Karen and son in law Larry Paquette of Mattapoisett, MA, her son Wayne Cissell and daughter in law Mary of Sharon, MA and son Steve (Marti Keifer) Cissell and beloved granddaughter Jennifer Paquette. Millie leaves behind many nieces and nephews. 

 Millie’s family would like to thank the staff at Alden Court and Beacon Hospice for their care. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Center St. Newton, MA Friday, September 1st at 11 am followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, MA.
