Nancy A. Bell

Nancy A. Bell of Needham died on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was 80 years old. Born in Needham, Nancy was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Elsie A. (Thompson) Bell. She was a graduate of Needham High School Class of 1948 where she was a cheerleader and Mt. Ida College Class of 1950. Nancy was a former employee of Calvert’s Clothing Store. She worked for the town of Needham in various departments at town hall including the Tax Collectors Office, Town Clerk’s office and eventually the Assessor’s office. She retired in 1963. Nancy enjoyed playing golf. She was the beloved sister of Frank A. Bell and his wife Barbara of Needham and the dear aunt of Stephen M. Bell of Needham and Susan A. Vincent and her husband Peter of Taunton. Great aunt of C.J. Bell. Funeral Services will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel, 1132 Highland Avenue Needham on Wednesday, November 24 at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Needham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund or the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler St. Boston, MA 02116.
