Nancy C. Lambert

Nancy C. Lambert, age 90, formerly of Needham and Falmouth, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026 at Riverbend in Natick where she had been living for the past year.

Nancy was born on Thanksgiving Day 1935 to the late George and Edna Cole in Needham. She was the loving wife of the late Theodore G. “Bud” Lambert for 64 years. They lived in Needham for many years before moving to Falmouth in 1984. Nancy graduated with honors from Northeastern University. She served as a reporter for the Needham Times during the 1980s, where she is best remembered for her dedicated local coverage of municipal government, town planning, and community events in the Norfolk County area. After moving to Falmouth, Nancy acquired Cape Gallery Framer which she ran until her retirement in 2016.

Nancy is survived by her children Christine Owen and husband John of Brookline, Lawrence Lambert and wife Sandy Gikas of Quincy, Jan Fahy and husband Burt of Millis, Theodore G. Lambert, Jr of Woonsocket, RI, and Nanci Cahalane and husband Mike of Norfolk. Grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 21 and survived by many nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her husband in 2016, as well as her four sisters, Edna Corley, Elizabeth Klemperer, Carolyn Cole, and Jan Cole-Stryker.

Nancy was a woman of many talents: seamstress, gardener, artist, cook, and musician. She and Bud enjoyed playing golf and tennis together and Nancy continued to play tennis well into her 80’s. When they moved to Falmouth she and Bud built a home to welcome family for holidays and special celebrations creating many treasured memories. Nancy was a lover of nature and animals which she passed on to her children and grandchildren.

The family will be holding a private gathering to honor Nancy’s memory. No formal services are scheduled.
