Nancy Elizabeth Stone (MacEwen) February 13, 1931 - February 7, 2023. Born to Clarence and Evelyn Horn. Nancy grew up in West Roxbury and with her parent's moved to Needham.
Upon graduation from Needham High School, she furthered her education at Fisher Junior College and earning an Associate's Degree in Medical Secretarial.
She was Nancy to Mac, her late former husband Robert A. MacEwen of Roslindale and Needham. Mum to Steve (Debbie) MacEwen, Sherry (John)
Boulanger and Beth Carloni. Nan to her late husband Ernest R. Stone, his son John (Judy) Stone and Late son Scott Stone. Nancy is survived by 12 Grandchildren
and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Though married to an Engineer, Mum was the quintessential domestic engineer. A place for everything and everything in it's place was her famous
motto. Mum ruled the house. Organized to a "T." As her appearance nothing was out of place. As the children moved on with their lives, Nancy took
her personality and love of travel to the business world. As an Agent for Colpitts Travel, AAA Travel and The German Travel Club. She was able to
see the world. Traveling to distant shores on familiarization trips. Gathering invaluable information to help her clients with their travel plans.
Nancy and Mac went their separate ways, and with that Ernie Stone reentered her life. Though Ernie lived in Chicago, he was a family friend
from Roslindale. They were meant to be together and for 33 years they were. And with Ernie, Mum realized her dream of building a home in
Chatham on Cape Cod.
Though retired, Mum and Ernie were never ones to sit idly by. With her gift of gab, work ethic and willingness to share her vast knowledge of the
local area. What better place to work The Chatham Chamber of Commerce. She was a Travel Agent for Chatham a perfect fit! Management and Staff
would come and go but Mum was a fixture for 23 years. A team player up to age 82. She loved working there and hated to leave, but all good things
come to an end. Mum passed away 1 week before her 92nd birthday. Certainly we are sad and miss her, but she lived a great life.
With her two favorite men, Mac on her left Ernie on her right.
She's making sure that even in Heaven there's a place for everything and
everything's in it's place. Love you Mum
