Patricia M. (Staunton) Shaughnessy

Patricia M. (Staunton) Shaughnessy, a lifelong Newton resident, passed away at her home on Aug 13, 2025. She was 94.

Pat graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Newton Centre and worked for over 30 years as a customer service representative and later as a loan officer for Mutual Bank and Bank of America.

Pat had a big heart and an unassuming demeanor and was a person with strong convictions and a fierce defender of her family.

She was the wife of the late Roger E. Shaughnessy and mother of the late Margaret “Meg” Shaugnhessy. She is survived by her daughter Carol Lehr and her husband Andy, her grandson Roger T. Lehr, her sister Josephine Waters and a brother.

At Pat’s request, no service will be held, she would want you to remember her by going out and having a good breakfast.
