Patrick Ridge

Patrick Ridge of Sudbury died peacefully on October 7, four days after his 74th birthday. Patrick developed mental illness in his late twenties and spent the remainder of his adult years in supportive homes where he received excellent care from wonderful and caring staff. As a result of pulmonary illness, he spent his final years at Wingate skilled nursing home in Sudbury, now Bear Mountain at Sudbury, where he also received kind and compassionate care.

Patrick was born in London, England on October 3, 1949 and emigrated to Boston with his parents, Mark and Nora Ridge and his two sisters when he was 7. 

He is survived by his children David and his wife Kerri of Hudson NH, Colleen Coenen and her husband David of Atlanta GA, sister Barbara Ridge of Needham MA and grandchildren, Jack, Kyleigh, Kaycee, Raven, Meaghan, Chase and Elise, many nephews and nieces and his former wife Joyce Ridge. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Matthew and his sister, Mary.     

Patrick was loved and cherished by his family; while we mourn his loss we are comforted by knowing, in his son David’s words, "now you are free."

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd, Wellesley on Friday, October 20th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
