Paul Dumais Obituary

Paul E. Dumais, of Newton Centre a longtime Ham radio operator (W1LJO) died suddenly June 8, 2010 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 91.
Born in Quebec, Canada he had lived in Newton for over 60 years. He served with the US Navy during WW II and attended the Peterson School of Engineering. He worked as an engineer for Cambridge Electric Light Co., and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the NRA and the Woburn Sports Club.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Marchese) Dumais, and the father of Joseph and his wife Irene, Leo and his wife Monica of Maynard, Rita of CA, Jeanne Major and her husband Joseph of MD, Paul E. Jr. of Quincy, Mary and her husband Charles of Winthrop and David and his wife Deborah of Billerica. He is also survived by his sister Gertrude DeForge of Maynard, and 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Tues June 15 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church Newton Centre at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Mon from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery West Roxbury.
