Paul Michael Rodenhiser passed away suddenly and peacefully on Tuesday May 2nd. He was 85 years old. Paul is the son of the late Louis M. Rodenhiser and Marie Rodenhiser. Paul was in the Air Force reserves before he met his wife Diane, they have been married for 55 years. He was self-employed as a contractor for GTE in Needham and retired in 2000. He was also an exceptional handyman, there was never anything he couldn’t build or reconstruct with wood or metal. He also made jewelry for his wife and children.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Diane and his two children, Kimberly Carroll and her husband Paul Carroll of Needham and Alison Rodenhiser and her late life partner Frank Johnson of North Conway, NH. He also leaves behind his two grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Johnson and Blake William Carroll who loved him dearly. Paul is also survived by a brother, Louis Rodenhiser and his wife Jean of Canton and his sisters Linda Hines and her husband Daniel of West Roxbury, Elizabeth Cotter and her late husband James of Walpole and Regina Olson and her late husband Robert of Salem, NH. He had many nieces and nephews. Paul will forever be missed by his family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Tuesday, May 9th from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A graveside service will be held at Needham Cemetery, 128 Nehoiden St, Needham, on Wednesday at 11am.
