Paul T. Tierney, 80, of Needham formerly of Brighton and Hyde Park, passed away at home on February 16th, 2024. Beloved husband of Margaret A. “Peggy” (Pidgeon) Tierney. Loving father of Paul-John E. “PJ” and his wife Kerri Tierney. Cherished grandfather of Emma and Eric Tierney. Brother of Jean Dognazzi, Patricia Tierney, Michael Tierney and the late Mary, Theresa, Sheila, Timothy, Rose and Richard. He is also loved by his brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
In 1943, Paul was born in Brighton to Timothy and Delia Tierney. He was later the proud graduate of North Bennet Street School in the North End of Boston. He owned his own carpentry and snowplow businesses for many years and was a skilled cabinet maker. He loved a good conversation with everyone he met, playing bridge and singing along to his favorite Irish music.
Visting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Wednesday, February 21st from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham, on Thursday, February 22 at 10am. Interment is private.
