I am deeply saddened to announce the death of my father Paul Gregory White, 81, of Walpole on April 16th 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith G (Nixon) White, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage before her passing in 1997.
Born in Walpole, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Flaherty) White. My father was a natural born athlete growing up, playing Football, Baseball, and Basketball at Walpole High School. That talent allowed him to go on and play Football at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire and later Middlebury College in Vermont. His passion for sports never left him even as he got older. Whether it was playing tennis with my mom, softball in the local men’s league or his favorite, playing golf with his buddies. I will always attribute my knowledge and love of sports to my time with him. My father also had an affinity for music. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my father DJing our family Holiday gatherings and dance parties, for my mom and me. We had so much fun! In his elder years my father was a long-term resident of Briarwood Healthcare Center in Needham, Massachusetts where he was beloved by his nurses and fellow residents. He was the funniest, most selfless and loving man I have ever known. He will truly be missed.
Father of Amanda Nixon White, Rockland, Massachusetts. Brother of Sheila Crowley, West Palm Beach, Florida and the late Peter White, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 28th, 2024, from 2-4PM at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave. Needham, Massachusetts.
In lieu of flowers an employee appreciation fund has been set up in his name at Briarwood Health Care Center.
