Willock Renee of Boston, formerly of Chestnut Hill, died on Sept 22, 2011 at the age of 99 years after a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure. She was born and raised in Panama and also went to school in Paris, France. She travelled to then British Guiana with her godparents and adoptive parents when her father was appointed Honorary Consul of Panama there. She married George Willock, a Reuters correspondent and later Editor of the Daily Chronicle. She later became the Honorary Consul of Panama in Guyana. She migrated to the United States in 1980 to join her children. She was very active in charity work all her life and took great joy in being a homemaker - sewing, crocheting and an excellent cook, always willing to teach and share recipes. She was famous for her decorative cakes and cookies. She was the loving and beloved mother of Dr. Marcelle Willock, and the late Ronald and Michael Willock. She is also survived by her grandchildren, George, Yvette, Dominic and Jason Willock and great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Cole Willock, three daughters-in-law, Lynette Harding, Camille Willock and Frances Willock, and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial 9AM on Monday, September 26 at St. Ignatius Church, Chestnut Hill. Interment will be private. Visiting Hours at Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St. Newton MA on Sunday 4-7pm.
