Richard Ciavola Obituary

Richard Ciavola of Austin TX formerly of Plymouth and Roslindale MA, passed away quietly on November 24 2021.

Son of the late Richard N. and Amelia R. (Omogrosso) Ciavola.  Richard is survived by his beloved wife Trudy, step son Conor Dennehy, daughter in law Danielle Ayer and Grampy to Tallula. Brother in law of Terry and Josephine DeLooze, nieces Miranda DeLooze, Amy Hoskins, and Missy El-Shinawy. He is also survived by his loving sister Rita, her husband Donald DellaRocca, loving nephews
Nicholas, Richard and his wife Meghan DellaRocca. Richard is also survived by Aunts Lucille Omogrosso Theresa Carney-Pickwell as well as many cousins and friends we love as our family.

Richard was an Attorney for many years before moving to TX

Richard was known for his sharp wit, sense of humor, knowledge of the law, willingness to help anyone, but especially known for his love and adoration to his wife and family. He was an avid reader with intellectual curiosity about simple and complex matters. He loved history, theology, cooking family meals, baking his mom’s date nut bread at Christmas, telling a joke or funny story, skeet shooting, opera and Tanner.

We thought we had more time to love him, but in retrospect eternity would not be enough. So, for now, until we meet again, he will be missed.

Visitation will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Monday, December 13th from 10:00 to 11:15am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 11:30. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Roslindale.
