Robert H. Marshall, 92, a long-time resident of Needham, son of the
late Robert F. and Martha E. (Hirdler) Marshall, passed into the arms
of Jesus, His Savior, on March 30, 2011 at Riverview Pointe Care
Center, Olmsted Falls, OH. His wife of 54 years, Mary L.D. (Boebel),
preceded him in heaven in 1999. Surviving are a son, Rev Robert
(Cheryl) H. Marshall, Jr., Riverview, MI, a daughter Martha (Robert)
E. Trapp, Olmsted Falls, OH, and six grandchildren: Bethany (Kris)
Harrelson of Rocky River, OH, Christopher Marshall (Mequon, WI),
Julie Trapp (South Euclid, OH), Nathaniel Marshall (Redmond, WA), and
Rhoda & Talitha Marshall of Riverview, MI. Mr. Marshall was a
long-time member and officer of Trinity Lutheran Church, Boston, MA,
a former member of St Luke's Lutheran Church, Dedham, MA, and a
member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Rocky River, OH. He held a
Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from
Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He served his country in the
United States Army at Ft Dix, NJ. Mr. Marshall culminated a
professional career with the Equipment Division of Raytheon Company,
pioneering employee incentive programs for improvement of the design,
manufacture and operation of its products. He was a past-President of
The New England Chapter of the National Association of Suggestion
Systems, as well as a past-officer of the (Boston) Association for
Lutheran Works of Mercy and Gethsemane Cemetery. His hobbies included
design and building of his home's improvements and furniture, and HO
trains. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm
at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham,
MA. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:00 am from
St Luke's Lutheran Church, 550 East Street, Dedham, MA with interment
at The Gardens at Gethsemane, West Roxbury, MA. The family suggests
