Robert J. Mendolia

Robert J. Mendolia, of Needham passed away on Sat Mar 30, 2024. He was 88 years old.

Bob was born and raised in Newton Upper Falls and graduated from Newton High School in 1955 and then served in the US Army. He owned and operated Jeana’s Sub Shop on South St. in Waltham for over 20 years, then owned and operated Bob’s Sub Stop on Elliot St in Newton Upper Falls for 20 years until his retirement.

 Bob was the beloved husband for 66 years of Mary Ann (Orsogna) Mendolia and loving father of Debbie Kenney and her husband Norm of Newton Upper Falls and Nancy O’Toole of Woonsocket, RI. Loving grandfather of Norman, Kristin, R.J., Amanda, Danny and Brian, and great grandfather of Wyatt, Ellie and Willa.

Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. on Fri Apr 5 from 9 to 11 AM where his service will begin at 11 AM. Interment with US Army Military Honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob’s name to the ASPCA, would be appreciated.
