Beloved husband of Lisa (Camire) Murphy. Devoted father of Robert G. Murphy, III and Kathryn “Kay” Murphy. Devoted son of Margie Murphy and the late Robert G Murphy, Sr. Devoted brother of Barbara (Murphy) Foley and her husband Walter of Walpole and Brian T. Murphy and his wife Jenn of Franklin. Bob was a hard-working guy who believed in doing a job the right way and seeing it through to the finish line. He was always doing a project to better his family’s comfort or lending a hand to others. He was well known for his generosity and willingness to help.
THEN and only then would he relax. His favorite place to do this was at Sunset Lounge. He loved slow boat rides with our family, our dog Casey Mae and a Guinness. Or sitting on the patio enjoying a Guinness or two with family and friends. He was the salt of the earth and well loved by many.
Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton, Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Tuesday July 8th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham, on Wednesday, July 9th at 10am. Interment to follow at Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
