Robert E. Pearson of Hingham, formerly of Needham and Falmouth passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Rockland. He was 85 years old. Mr. Pearson grew up in Newton and was a graduate of Newton High School. He was a US Army World War II veteran. Mr. Pearson was a retired salesman, having sold women’s apparel for many years. Needham residents for 43 years, Mr. Pearson and his wife lived in Falmouth for 12 years before moving to Linden Ponds in Hingham 6 years ago. He was an avid golfer and a former longtime member of the Needham Golf Club. The beloved husband of Mary Lou (Conlin) Pearson, he was the father of Robert Pearson, James Pearson and David Pearson. Brother of the late Arthur Pearson he is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday, Oct 7 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Joseph Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment with Military Honors at Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Robert’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St, 5th Floor, Boston MA 02210.
