Sadly, we announce the passing of Robert Mullins of Shirley, Maine. Bob was 54 years old.
He was a former police officer having served on Babson College Police Department and 16 years with the Needham Police Department. Bob loved his job and served with honor, empathy and courage.
He moved to Maine and taught at Regional Schools in Guilford and Dover Foxcroft.
Bob was a student of history with an inquiring mind and a great curiosity about the past. Bob graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, earning a bachelor's degree and was currently working on his Master’s degree in history from Southern New Hampshire University.
He loved all sports especially hockey and the Bruins whom he greatly enjoyed watching with his grandfather Elwin. Bob was a master gardener who enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid reader and enjoyed writing poetry. He loved his dog Keira!
He was a wonderful son to his father and mother both of whom will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his father Jerry, his mother Marjorie Thomson and his grandmother Eileen, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Friday, June 12th from 5-7pm. Bob’s funeral service will be private.
