Ronald E Vara

Ronald E. Vara of Halifax, formerly of Needham passed away on May 27, 2022.

Ron was raised in Needham and had worked with his father at his shop, Vara Motors in Needham and also worked as a machinist for Johnson and Johnson for over twenty years and as a custodian for many other places. Ron loved to fish and watch old TV's shows, especially, The Andy Griffith Show.

Ron was the father of Ronalda Vara of Stoughton and Rebecca Balkcom of Halifax, Quintin Steeves of AZ and the late Roxanne Dupree, brother of Celene Daynes and her late husband George, Sheila Vara and her wife Rachel Lakin and the late Judith Sewell and her surviving husband Ralph.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and lots of friends and people that considered Ron very special to their hearts and looked at him as a father figure.

Funeral service Thurs June 2 at 11:30 AM in Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham followed by interment in Glenwood Cemetery, So. Natick.

A visiting hour will be held prior from 10:30 AM till 11:30 AM. 

In lieu of flowers a donation to Norwell VNA Hospice or the Pat Roche Hospice House would be appreciated.
