Ross Jacobson Obituary

Ross W. Jacobson of Haverhill, formerly of Needham, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. He was 53 years old. Born in Scotch Plains New Jersey, Ross grew up in Needham and was a graduate of Needham High School, Class of 1977. He went on to Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 1981. Ross spent his working career of over 30 years as an electrical engineer for Phillips Medical. He was a member and the Treasurer of the Medfield Sportsman's Club. He was the beloved husband of Marianne L. (Case) Jacobson and stepfather of Cheri Theroux, Corey Theroux and Justin Fitzgerald all of Haverhill. Son of the late Charles and Annie (Tennent) Jacobson, Ross was the brother of Scott and his wife Erin Jacobson of Hudson and Bruce and his wife Susan Jacobson of Norfolk. Uncle of Mac, Gregory and Kathryn Jacobson all of Norfolk. Nephew of Ernest and Elizabeth Doyle of Needham. Also survived by several cousins and many friends. Visiting hours will be held in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill on Monday March 5th from 4-8 PM and again on Tuesday March 6th at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave from 11 AM to 1PM followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Ross' name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312.
