Russell Carle Obituary

Russell K. Carle of Auburndale, a Legal Stock Transfer Clerk, died on Sat Nov 5, 2011 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 90.
Russell was educated in Newton and graduated from Newton High School. He served with the US Army Air Corps 3704th Bomb Unit as a tailgunner and flew 56 missions and saw action during invasion of Italy, No. Africa and Southern France. He was discharges as a T/Sgt. He worked for Estabrook and later at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. where he retired from in 1984. He was a former member of the Lincoln Park Baptist Church in West Newton and the United Parish of Auburndale.
Russell was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Stewart) Carle. He is survived by his sons and their wives Richard and Judith of Auburndale and Raymond and Catherine of Brighton and was the father of the late Marilyn Carle. He is also survived by his granddaughters Tracy, Jennifer and Cynthia and 3 great grandchildren. He was pre deceased by his sister Barbara Davenport.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wed Nov 9 at 11 AM in the Newton Cemetery Chapel 791 Walnut St. NEWTON CENTRE followed by interment with Military Honors. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Russell, to Rogerson Roslindale Dementia Day Program 23 Florence St. Roslindale, MA 02131 would be appreciated.
