Sara Elizabeth (Martin) Pandolf, 88, of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Norwood & Needham departed this life on January 20, 2023 to rejoin her husband, her parents and her sisters.
Beloved wife of the late Harold L. Pandolf, she was the youngest daughter of the late Thomas Y. & Myrtle D. (Corish) Martin.
Sara was predeceased by her sisters, Alice L. (Martin) Dyer & her husband Frederick, and Ida F. (Martin) Lanphear, & her husband William.
She was also predeceased by her nephew Thomas E. Lanphear and niece Robin (Lanphear) Hoyt.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews Frederick J. Dyer, Sylvia (Dyer) Sullivan and her husband Bob, Deborah L. (Dyer) Sperdigliozzi and her husband Tony, Kathleen L. (Dyer) Partridge and her husband Russ, William C. Lanphear and his wife Deborah, Roger Lanphear and his wife Ann.
Sara was born on April 16, 1934 in Norwood and grew up in Norwood, graduating from Norwood High School in 1952.
Prior to her marriage, Sara enjoyed working at Grants Department Store in Norwood. After she married and moved to Needham, she worked for the Town of Needham, in the Assessors Department until her retirement. Harold and Sara then moved to Florida to live out their retirement years together until Harold’s passing on February 19, 2011.
Sara also leaves her longtime friend and caregiver Richard Borst of Port Charlotte.
A funeral service will be held on Friday January 27 at 11 AM in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham followed by interment in Needham Cemetery.
