Sheila Barr Anderson, 66, passed away January 25 after a long illness, with her loving husband at her side. Sheila grew up in Needham, and then raised her family there. She worked for many years in the dental field. Sheila was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially all the children. She was the best mom; the mom everybody loved but nobody wanted to mess with. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Sheila is survived by her mother Barbara Kearns Barr, of Needham, sister Gayle Pennington of Stoughton, brother Douglas Barr of Millis, she married Fred Anderson on Valentine’s Day 1976 and is also survived by her children Steven Anderson, his wife Sandra, and grandkids Jack, Sophia, Aiden, Cameron, Anthony, of North Attleboro, Russell Anderson, his wife April, and grandkids Katie and Jason, of Wareham, Susan Anderson, her partner Adam, of Boxborough. Sheila is predeceased by her father Gordon Barr, her brother Gordon Barr Jr, and her son Shawn Anderson. In addition to family, many friends mourn the loss of such a wonderful, strong soul.
Visiting hours will be Sunday Jan 29 from 2-5 at Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham and her funeral service will be there on Monday 11 AM. Interment will follow at Needham Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family after at Echo Bridge Restaurant (Mario's) for pizza and salad.
