Sheila Ryan Obituary

Sheila M. Ryan passed away at age 67 on May 26, 2012 at Briarwood healthcare in Needham. She resided in Needham for over 50 years.
Sheila lived with her mother Marguerite Ryan for most of her life. Her father Daniel Ryan, whom she loved deeply, passed away in 1978. She will be mourned by her two sisters, Rosemary Dunn and Constance Love, and her brother, James Ryan, and their spouses, Ben Dunn, Tom Love and Evelyn Ryan. She was very close to all of her nephews and nieces: Dann Dunn, Stephen Dunn, Ryan Dunn, Destine Levine, Eleanor Perry, James Love and Kirby Love. She also treasured all of her grand-nephews and grand-nieces: Aidan Perry, Quinlan Perry, Roan Perry, Audrey Perry, Ruby Levine, Oliver Levine, Clara Dunn, Cooper Dunn and Juliet Dunn.

Sheila particularly loved animals and small children. She owned several small dogs over the years with whom she walked all over town, stopping to talk to dog lovers, neighbors and other passersby. She was a devoted practitioner of the lost art of letter writing. She had an uncanny ability to recall birthdays and anniversaries, which she never failed to acknowledge with a carefully selected card. She truly was a warm and loving person.

Her Funeral will be held from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday May 30 at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph Church at 10 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Interment will take place at Needham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Sheila's name may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston MA 02130.
