Stephen P. Lombardo

Stephen P. Lombardo of Needham, passed away on Thursday, May 9 , 2024. He was 93 years old. He is survived by his children:  Lynda, Stephen & Lennie.  He was heartbroken after his wife, Rita's death last year. They had been together for 73 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Angelina & Sam and his brothers, Tony & Carmen. He is, also, survived by 4 grandchildren: Nicco, Brianna, Cory and Dominic.
 He graduated from Newton South High School and studied drafting. He served in the Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.   He married the love of his life upon his discharge and resided in Needham for 67 years.  
He joined his father in his landscape business Sam Lombardi & Son, which he later shared with his son, Stephen Jr.  Over the years, he enjoyed boating, golfing, bowling and skiing.   He was a gentle man with a big smile that won over everyone he met.
Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, MA on Monday, May 20 from 4-7pm, concluding with words of remembrance. Burial is private.
