Stephen J. Townsend

Stephen J. Townsend of Newton, died on Saturday June 26th at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Stephen was a graduate of Newton North High School Class of 1980. He worked for over 27 years in the kitchen of the Fessenden School. Son of Rev. Dr. John T. and Mary Rust Townsend of Newton, he is also survived by his Brother of William Townsend and his wife Julianne of Weston. He is the uncle of William T. “Quint”, Helen, and Kai Townsend all of Weston. A Funeral Service will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church 76 Eldredge St Newton Corner on Sunday, July 11 at 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in Stephen’s name may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6 Brookline MA 02445-9924.
