Susan H. Ridlon

Susan Henn Ridlon of Needham passed away on November 4 at the age of 87.

Susy was the beloved wife of Dean E. Ridlon for 58 years and loving mother of Dean M. Ridlon of Medfield and Robin R. Swirbalus also of Medfield.  She was also survived by her daughter-in-law Julie H. Ridlon, son-in-law Mark E. Swirbalus, grandchildren Sophie and Jeremy Ridlon and Emery, Herrick and Lottie Swirbalus.

A graduate of Endicott College in 1956, she was active with several Needham organizations including Glover Hospital Aid Association, Kalmia Garden Club and Florence Crittenton League.  She was an avid reader, and Sudoku and crossword puzzle solver.  Susy also enjoyed spending many summers on Orr’s Island in Maine, and visiting Tucson, Arizona and Boca Grande, Florida.  She was a long-time fan of automobile racing and a member of the Cleveland Sports Car Club.  She was a lover of dogs her whole life.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life remembering Susy in the coming months.
