Suzanne D. (Dearborn) Riedell

Suzanne Dearborn Riedell, formerly of Needham, passed away on November 8th after a brief illness. Suzanne was born in Buffalo, New York, on October 27, 1926 and was the daughter of Karl and Alice Dearborn. She graduated from the Northfield School and Grinnell College. She later earned her Master's Degree in computer sciences from Leslie University. Coming from a family of educators, she followed the tradition of teaching but took a brief hiatus to raise her four boys. She later returned to teaching and spent another 15 years teaching math in the Dover-Sherborn school system. "Sue" was an accomplished bridge player and enjoyed tennis and swimming in her earlier years.
Suzanne was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Gordon, in 2005. She is survived by her dear sister, Nancy, of Bernardston, Massachusetts. She is also survived by four sons, Brock Riedell and his wife, Cathie Clinch, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Bruce Riedell and his wife, Sharon, of Boxford, Massachusetts, Christopher Riedell and his wife, Meenu, of San Ramon, California, and David Riedell and his wife, Kim, of Needham, Massachusetts. Grandchildren include Courteney and Andrew of Boxford, Sara and Michaela of Needham, and Shaan of San Ramon.
A funeral service will be held at the Carter Memorial UnitedMethodist Church, 800 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday, November 16th, at 10 AM. The funeral service will be followed by a private burial service at the family cemetery in Belmont, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice Home, at 920 South Street, in Needham, Massachusetts.
