Teresa (Puliafico) Mauro

Teresa Mauro of Needham, born on June 15, 1929, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Mauro, her treasured parents, Guiseppe and Rosario Puliafico, and two cherished brothers, Carmen and Joseph Puliafico. Teresa was the beloved mother to Frank Mauro and his wife Linda (Hulse) of Needham, admired “Nonnie” to Hillary Sullivan and her husband Matthew of Reading, and Anthony Mauro and his wife Charlene of Needham, and huggable great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren.

Teresa will fondly be remembered as an unbelievably kind and devoted caregiver to her family. Her deep love to her son, Frank, guided her life. She was an amazing cook, best known for her famous biscotti cookies, and passed along many delicious recipes which continue to be enjoyed through her grandson, who inherited his Nonnie's culinary skills. Teresa was also a talented seamstress, who reconstructed her daughter-in-law's wedding dress in order for her granddaughter to wear it for her own wedding day 30 years later, as well as an avid knitter who made beautiful sweaters, hats, mittens and blankets for loved ones. Additionally, her creativity was evident in her gardening and appreciation for flowers, which she shared with her daughter-in-law, Linda. Teresa will forever be missed for her bright smile, hearty laugh, and gracious heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tues Oct 22 from 4-7 PM. Service and interment will be private.
