Timothy J McInerney, Jr passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2024 at home, with his wife holding his hand. Tim had been strongly fighting Stage Four Colon Cancer.
Tim leaves behind his treasured wife, Courtney, and their son, Andrew John. Tim also leaves behind his cherished children, Brianne, Erin, and Shane, as well as his sweet granddaughter, Alexis Manken.
In the days before Tim’s passing he received an outpouring of love from his forever proud parents Tim and Linda, his sister Joanna and her husband William Payne Jr, along with his adoring nephews Devyn and Brayden.
Additionally, Tim was accompanied by his wonderful in-laws: Jay and Janie Steeves, Maura Brady, Betty Brady, Mac Steeves, Kayla Steeves and her fiancé Alex Davey. Tim leaves behind numerous loved ones, including his grandmother, several aunts and uncles, a special group of cousins, countless friends, and his sweet dog, Nova. Tim is predeceased by loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.
Tim was born on January 12th, 1978 in Natick. Tim grew up in Needham and graduated from Needham High School in 1996 and went on to attend the electrical program at Mount Ida College. Tim worked for his father at their family business, Wellesley Electrical Supply, for over 25 years and continued to work alongside his father in the electrical industry even after the family business was sold. In 2023 Tim became the Director of Facilities at Craft Food Halls, where he worked alongside his wife, sister and many friends.
Tim dedicated his free time to being with family and friends, prioritizing his close relationships above all else. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, sitting around a fire listening to his favorite music, garage parties and playing games with his children and nephews.
We will always remember Tim's contagious laughter, warm smile, and genuine love for life, friends, and family, as well as the lasting impression he has made on all our hearts.
Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Thursday, July 25th from 3-7 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in The Dover Church, 17 Springdale Ave, Dover, on Friday, July 26th at 11 am. Interment is private.
