Born and raised in Needham, Walter was a quiet but unwavering presence. His hands, skilled from a lifetime of craftsmanship, crafted stories of dedication and precision in the homes he touched as a master finish carpenter.
Walter proudly served his country with honor in the Army, embodying a commitment to duty and sacrifice. His military service instilled in him values of resilience and determination, which became integral aspects of his character.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Sonia, Walter leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Cora Armenio, and son-in-law, Frank Armenio. Together, they shared the joys and challenges of life, forming a close-knit family that reflected Walter's commitment to those he loved. His grandson, Anthony Aldo, was a source of pride and joy, and Walter leaves behind a lasting impact on the younger generation. Walter was the brother of the late Carl Cardinali.

Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Tuesday, November 28 from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham, on Wednesday, November 29 at 10am. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Needham Cemetery.
