Wesley Wu Obituary

Wesley Wu of Dover, and formerly a long time resident of Belmont, passed away peacefully at home on February 9. He was born in Swatow, China. He was a proud graduate of Ling Nan University. He emigrated to the US in 1948, and received his MBA from Boston University. He worked most of his career as a comptroller. His main interest and love was his family, both immediate and extended, and he was truly beloved by children, nephews, nieces, and his seven grandchildren. He was a devout Christian, and served faithfully in many capacities at the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston, he was also a proud and loyal Mason, and rose to the rank of Master of the Boston University Lodge. His interests included sports, especially his beloved and Patriots and Red Sox (2004 was an exceptionally good year for him!) He was an avid fisherman, and the annual mackerel fishing outings he organized for his children and grandchildren was a highlight for all. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette, his son Timothy and wife Betty, son Jeffrey and wife Jane, his daughter Leslie Wu Foley and husband Joseph Foley, his sister Irene Lu, brother Lester and sister Magdalen, and by his grandchildren, Gregory, Matthew, Thomas, Brandon, Christopher, Daniel, and Maia. Visiting hours will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Sunday February 13 from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Memorial Service will be held at the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston, 149 Spring St, Lexington on Saturday, February 26 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in his memory to VNA Hospice, 5 Federal Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
