William Dickson Obituary

William F. Dickson of Needham formerly of Cotuit passed away on Nov 6, 2021.

Bill was born in Manchester, CT and received his undergraduate degree from UCONN and his MBA from Boston College. He served in the US Air Force as a 1st Lt during the Korean War. Bill worked for many years for and retired as comptroller for Kendall Co. Bill was active with the Cahoon Museum in Cotuit and was an avid photographer. He was currently preparing for a show displaying his work that was going to take place at North Hill in Needham.  

Bill was the beloved husband for 65 years of Sheila (Post) Dickson and the loving father of Stephanie Halpern and her husband Mark of Sommerville NJ, Laurie Roche and her husband Jay of Needham and the late William Frederick Dickson Jr. He was the brother of Beverly Dearborn and her husband Barry of Windsor CT and is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues Nov 9 at 10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church Needham. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Mon from 5-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
