William Polo II Obituary

William James Polo II, of Waban, passed away on July 24, 2025. He was 73

Bill was a member of the Boston Press Photographers Assoc., and a member of the Sons of the Nonantum Post 440 American Legion in Newton. Bill worked as a photographer for the Boston Herald, the Boston Globe, Associated Press, Getty Images, Sports Illustrated, the West Roxbury Transcript and many other prominent publications.

Bill was the beloved husband for 44 years of Janet Nagle-Polo and loving the father of Lauren, Renee, Joanne and Billy and grandfather of Brynn, Klayton, Clyde and JJ. He was the son of the late William James Polo I and Marie Puglesi Polo and brother of the late Dominic Polo.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tues July 29 at 10:30 MA in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Elliot St. Newton Upper Falls. Interment will be private.
