William Rowean Obituary

William G. Rowean passed away at home on November 6, 2018 after a long illness. His wife Dorothy (Luttazi) Rowean was by his side. Married in 1959, Bill and Dot raised their children Bill, Cindy, Jeanne, Louis and David in Dover, Mass. Bill is survived by grandchildren Jasper, Drew, Alec, Bret, Jillian and step grandchildren Kelly, Josh, Eli and Catherine, and daughter-in-law Susan Rowean (married to Bill) and son-in-law David Peck (married to Jeanne).

After graduating from Needham HS, Bill served in the United States Marine Corp. where he honed his skills as a pastry chef. He then worked as a baker at Edie's Restaurant and Bakery, founded Duz'n Donuts, where all five children worked with him at a very young age. Bill completed his career as head pastry chef at Carleton-Willard Village, until his 2004 retirement.

Bill had a passion for thoroughbred racing, visiting race tracks all over the country and owned several horses. He was fond of winning all types of card games and loved watching movies and sports. Tammy Wynette, George Jones and traditional country music was his favorite.

He loved his family and had a great life, always smiling and making new friends.
